SQL Data Engineer

Overview Salary: 80K to 100K for qualified candidates based on details below. This position is located in NE Ohio with hybrid in-office expectations after onboarding. This job posting is for a SQL Server Database Administrator (SQL DBA) in a large SQL database enterprise environment. Responsibilities Work within a very large SQL database enterprise environment, including clustering, high-availability, and multi-node server farms. Collaborate with the Data Architect and the infrastructure team, and work with developers and business stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. Develop and maintain SQL Server databases, including creating tables, integrations, SQL queries, and logical design. Experience with SSIS, SSAS, and reporting services (SSRS) to support BI and data reporting needs. Performance tuning of SQL Server databases and applications; prioritize tuning in a production environment. Data governance and disaster recovery planning and execution. Experience writing MS-SQL queries and stored procedures. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent. 3+ years of experience using SQL Server (v2019/2022; migration to 2025 planned). 3+ years of experience as a SQL-centric DBA with experience developing tables, integrations, SQL queries, and logical design. Experience with data governance and disaster recovery. Proficiency with SSRS, SSIS, and other BI/ETL tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a major plus.
