We are forming a cohort of Anesthesiologist Advisors within our multidisciplinary clinical network to ensure that investment decisions reflect real‑world peri‑operative realities, patient‑safety standards, acute care coordination, and scalable care‑delivery models. Role Overview Anesthesiologist Advisors will support the investment diligence process by evaluating startups through the lens of peri‑operative safety, anesthesia workflow feasibility, sedation risk, monitoring accuracy, recovery optimization, and interdisciplinary coordination. Although our investment scope is broad, anesthesiologists provide essential perspective on procedural readiness, physiologic stability, pain‑safety logic, and acute‑to‑post‑acute patient pathways. Core Responsibilities Conduct clinical review of technologies impacting surgical workflows, sedation oversight, intra‑operative monitoring, recovery efficiency, and care‑team communication. Evaluate clinical safety claims, regulatory pathways, usability, workflow integration, monitoring fidelity, and risk‑stratification assumptions. Support due diligence by assessing scalability, peri‑operative quality metrics, care‑continuity models, and patient‑safety implications. Advise portfolio companies on anesthesia workflow logic, recovery protocols, sedation requirements, handoff communication, and multimodal pain approaches. Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, nurses, pain specialists, and procedural leadership to review risk dynamics and escalation pathways. Track emerging trends in predictive peri‑operative analytics, remote readiness assessments, virtual pre‑op pathways, and post‑anesthesia recovery support. Ideal Qualifications Board‑certified Anesthesiologist with experience in OR anesthesia, ambulatory surgery centers, PACU, ICU/peri‑operative medicine, cardiac/neuro anesthesia, or pain management. Familiarity with sedation risk, airway management standards, intra‑operative protocols, and postoperative recovery benchmarks. Experience with digital health platforms, remote monitoring, peri‑operative analytics, or virtual pre‑op evaluation (preferred but not required). Ability to translate anesthesia workflow realities into investment evaluation, safety review, and adoption feasibility. Interest in innovation, peri‑operative transformation, and social‑impact healthcare advancement.
