Welder / Fabricator Company: ProTech Thermal Services Location: Norco, California Job Type: Full-Time Travel: Required We are looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our growing team in Norco, CA. This position is hands‑on and requires someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, can work independently, and is comfortable working both in our shop and at customer facilities throughout the United States. Welder / Fabricator Company: ProTech Thermal Services Location: Norco, California Job Type: Full-Time Travel: Required Position Overview The Welder / Fabricator will be responsible for fabricating, welding, repairing, modifying, and installing components used in industrial and vacuum furnace systems. This is a physically demanding position requiring the ability to work with metal, tools, equipment, and machinery in a shop and field environment. The ideal candidate has strong welding and fabrication skills, understands how to read drawings and measurements, and is comfortable traveling to customer sites to perform installations, repairs, and field service work. Experience in the heat‑treating, furnace, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing industries is highly preferred, but not required. Key Responsibilities Perform MIG, TIG, and/or other welding processes as required. Fabricate metal components and assemblies from drawings, measurements, and specifications. Cut, fit, grind, drill, bend, and prepare materials for fabrication and welding. Repair and modify industrial furnace components and equipment. Assist with the fabrication and assembly of vacuum furnace hot zones and related equipment. Perform field installations, repairs, maintenance, and equipment modifications at customer facilities. Travel to customer locations throughout the United States as needed. Safely operate shop equipment, hand tools, power tools, cutting equipment, and fabrication machinery. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, measurements, and work instructions. Maintain accurate measurements and ensure fabricated components meet specifications. Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for quality and accuracy. Work safely around industrial equipment, high temperatures, heavy components, and various materials. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Work independently as well as with other technicians, fabricators, and management. Perform other fabrication and field‑service duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience with TIG welding stainless steel, nickel alloys, or other specialty metals. Experience working with graphite, stainless steel, molybdenum, or high‑temperature materials. Previous experience in the heat‑treating, vacuum furnace, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing industry . Experience reading detailed mechanical drawings. Experience with industrial furnace installation or repair. Experience working in customer facilities or field‑service environments. Familiarity with vacuum furnaces, hot zones, heating elements, insulation, or furnace components. Physical Requirements This is a hands‑on industrial position . Candidates must be capable of: Standing and working on their feet for extended periods. Lifting and moving materials and equipment. Working in confined or awkward positions when required. Bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and working around industrial equipment. Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Working in hot, dusty, noisy, and industrial environments. Traveling and working at customer facilities as required. What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, hardworking, and takes pride in their work . The right person doesn’t need to know everything about vacuum furnaces on day one, but they need to be willing to learn. If you are an experienced welder/fabricator who enjoys hands‑on work, solving problems, building things, and occasionally getting out of the shop to work directly with customers, this could be a great opportunity. Industry experience is a major plus, but strong welding and fabrication skills are the most important qualifications.
