Job Summary The Licensed Optician delivers the brand value proposition and helps establish LensCrafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community. Creates exceptional value in the lives of customers by delivering legendary customer service and perfectly crafted high‑quality eyewear that exceeds expectations. Major Duties & Responsibilities Welcome all customers and set expectations. Custom‑fit glasses and precisely place prescription in lenses. Act as a leader in optical acumen. Take and record measurements; accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail to meet standards and customer needs. Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions. Use technology accurately and efficiently under time pressure, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and appropriate tools. Proactively explore root causes of issues, forward‑think, and ensure customers are satisfied and expectations exceeded. Multi‑task, prioritize and manage time among competing priorities. Strive to achieve exceptional results on brand KPIs and competencies. Maintain store appearance, keeping it clean, attractive, and organized. Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices. Be resourceful, self‑motivated, and committed to continual learning, improvement, and results. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management. Basic Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. State licensure. Optical dispensing experience. Strong customer service skills; communicator, listener, and team builder. Knowledge of current store merchandise. Strong basic math skills. Awareness of current fashion trends. Selling skills—ability to use and carry an iPad or tablet. Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators. Embrace new technology and change. Preferred Qualifications Previous customer service and retail experience.
