Underwriting Manager - (Hybrid)

Compensation: $120,000-$150,000

Expectations

Drive profitable growth and underwriting quality
Build strong agency relationships
Monitor portfolio performance and ensure compliance
Lead a high-performing, development-focused team

Responsibilities

Manage and coach underwriters; oversee performance and development
Track key metrics (production, retention, profitability)
Maintain underwriting quality, service standards, and compliance
Support hiring, training, and process improvements
Engage with agencies and handle complex accounts as needed

Qualifications

6+ years commercial underwriting experience
Leadership experience preferred
Strong underwriting, analytical, and decision-making skills
Effective communication and organizational abilities
Knowledge of regulations, systems, and industry standards
