Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Provider is responsible for delivering high‑quality health care within Fast Pace Health’s scope of services while achieving optimum patient satisfaction. The provider must be able to work in a team‑oriented environment, be flexible to adapt to new technologies and protocols in a rapidly evolving practice setting, respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment, and provide outstanding patient service within the clinic and through various virtual communication channels while maintaining a compassionate and welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities Provide quality care in both clinic and telehealth and meet patient volume goals targeted for tele and in‑patient as determined. Lead clinic staff (X‑ray technologists, nurses, and front office specialists) in delivering excellent patient care. Ensure quality professional services and patient satisfaction through guidance and support. Perform responsibilities included on the SCRIBE job description. Discuss and review patients’ medical history, symptoms, allergies, and current medications. Ask situation‑specific questions to formulate accurate diagnoses and provide guidance. Actively engage with clinical leadership, elevating issues to management as appropriate to ensure strong patient care and resolution of concerns. Ensure accurate completion of patient charts in a timely manner and forward charts as appropriate on a daily basis. Implement clinical and telehealth protocols as outlined by the CMO and supervising physicians. Analyze and interpret patients’ histories, symptoms, physical findings, and diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses. Deliver excellent patient care through in‑patient and virtual diagnostic and therapeutic recommendations with attention to patient‑centric care, safety, cost, and reliability. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, guidelines, and requirements, including HIPAA and health information management issues. Work efficiently in a fast‑paced, autonomous environment within both in‑patient clinic and virtual settings. Prioritize the queue of telehealth patients in a timely fashion to ensure proper follow‑up. Order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests, responsibly prescribe medications, and educate patients on continued treatment and care of acute and chronic conditions. Attend mandatory monthly meetings with supervising physicians and E/M training. Perform responsibilities within standard NP/PA protocols. Complete mandatory compliance training to meet and exceed the company’s quality standards. Adhere to the core values of teamwork, communication, empowerment, quality of care, and friendliness. Recommend ideas to improve overall patient experience and care for both clinic and telehealth services. Communicate regularly within the team to support excellent patient care. Welcome new employees on their first day and facilitate introductions, clinic tours, and an overview of operations. Assist new employees with learning activities and required training, providing job shadowing, demonstration, and coaching opportunities. Maintain friendly, cordial relations with all clients and colleagues, fostering a positive work atmosphere. Additional Requirements for Ancillary Providers On‑call periodically throughout the year. Level 1: New graduate nurse practitioner or physician assistant (up to 1 year of experience). Level 2: Nurse practitioner or physician assistant with 1–5 years of experience. Level 3: Nurse practitioner or physician assistant with 5–10 years of experience. Level 4: Nurse practitioner or physician assistant with 10+ years of experience. Shift Requirements PRN employees must work a minimum of 4 shifts per month. Full‑time employees work 12‑hour shifts and every other weekend. Education and Experience Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) and/or Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies (MMS). Experience: At least 1‑2 years of experience as a provider in a relevant practice such as urgent care, occupational medical facility, ER or trauma unit, or family medical practice is strongly preferred. Licensing and Certification License and DEA must be active, in good standing, and verifiable with the proper regulatory agency. DEA is required for all providers; DOT certification must be obtained by full‑time and part‑time providers within 120 days of employment and maintained during employment. State‑Specific Requirements Mississippi residents only: Fast Pace requires pre‑employment drug/alcohol testing as a condition of employment.
