Distribution Customer Service RepresentativeThe Distribution Customer Service Representative carries out all customer service activities such as responding to inquiries, processing orders and receipts and handling complaints in a prompt, courteous and effective manner. Other responsibilities include answering/routing telephone calls, greeting visitors, scheduling and other clerical duties as directed by Customer Service Supervisor or Office Manager.ResponsibilitiesInteracts in a good working relationship with customers by responding to all inquiries and complaints concerning work orders, invoices, shipments, inventory counts, etc. in a courteous and effective mannerProcesses and inputs all customer ordersProduces stock reports to check for product availabilityProduces all related paperwork and necessary information required for customer work ordersCoordinates special and last minute shipping requests with the Traffic and Operations Departments, expediting any order as necessaryProvides follow up with other departments to ensure service standards are being metAssures proper invoicing of accounts by verifying computer generated invoicesPrepares shipping and tracing information to customers as requiredMaintains damage records and back order logsCommunicates customer feedback to management including any signs of dissatisfactionActs as a liaison between the warehouse and the customer in administration of the accounts and between the office and customers regarding invoicing and credit changesOversees all paperwork associated with orders and maintain the corresponding filesMaintains current and accurate procedure manual, which details the processing requirements for each accountQualificationsHS diploma or equivalent requiredStrong computer knowledge including MS Office applicationsBasic typing skillsFamiliarity with 10-keyShipping software systems including UPS and Federal ExpressExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsMust be able to work in varying facility conditions.Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and potentially holidays as neededShift 1 (M-TH / 7a-5:30p) - $19/hour - Shift 2 (M-TH / 6p-4:30a) - $20/hour - Shift 3 (F-SU / 7a-7:30p) - $22/hour - Shift 4 (F-SU / 7p-7:30a) - $23/hourEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
