Who You Are:

This Delivery Manager began their career as a software developer within a consulting company and has progressed into delivery leadership and client relationship management. The ideal candidate brings a strong Java development background, remains technically proficient, and can engage confidently with client managers and executives on solution design, implementation challenges, and delivery decisions. This role ensures stakeholder alignment on timelines and delivery objectives while building trusted client relationships and coordinating successful product launches.

At the Manager-level, you will be expected to independently contribute ideas, recommendations, and solutions toward solving business challenges, construct key components of deliverables/presentations, and contribute to the development of Intellectual Capital (IC) and Marketing Collateral. You will serve as a team leader for individual work streams and acquire a comprehensive understanding of the firm’s expertise, product set, and capabilities. Role and Responsibilities:

You may work on various projects throughout your career with Excelacom. The roles and responsibilities noted below pertain to the specific role listed above.

• Decompose key business problems to identify value areas and structure and implement complex technology solutions for the client.
• Plan and manage technical and functional projects in the telecom space from inception through testing and release in an Agile environment
• Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan
• Direct complex projects often involving multiple internal and external stakeholders and solution partners through all phases of the SDLC.
• Build and manage trusted relationships with client managers and executives, understand their business and technology priorities, and identify opportunities to improve operations and the technology landscape.
• Provide key decision support, monitor issues and risks, and create mitigation plans for clients.
• Collaborate closely with technical teams to evaluate solution designs, resolve implementation challenges, and deliver solutions that meet project goals and client requirements. Participate in Java code reviews as needed to assess code quality, maintainability, and alignment with requirements.
• Innovate and develop unique service offerings that align with current market trends and technological advancements.
• Identify key partners, define integration scope, and establish engagement models to ensure project success.
• Rigorously manage scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters
• Lead substantive technical conversations with client managers and executives, explain architecture and implementation tradeoffs, and translate technical decisions into clear business impacts and recommendations.
• Anticipate future challenges and proactively develop strategies to overcome obstacles to meet deliverables and client expectations.
• Monitor and ensure the quality of program deliverables, working closely with core teams and field resources to develop deployment strategies and tools.
• Identify and qualify additional business opportunities
• Prepare solutions and proposals and present them to clients

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or related field
• Required career foundation as a software developer within a consulting company, with progression into delivery management, consulting leadership, or client relationship management in an Agile environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated ability to build credibility and trust with client managers and executives.
• Ability to lead project working groups and possesses strong facilitation and data gathering skills
• Experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar) to accelerate project delivery, improve documentation, analyze requirements, and enhance overall delivery quality and team productivity.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to hold informed technical discussions with client managers and executives and explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• We are looking for someone who has an ownership mentality and will take accountability for the success and quality of deliverables.
• End-to-End (E2E) Understanding and Ownership of Program scope, deliverables, schedule, risks, and collaborators/key contributors.
• Ability to establish project objectives and KPIs, understand technical specifications and implementation details, and communicate progress, risks, and technical tradeoffs in business terms.
• Natural curiosity about staying up to date with current technologies, trends, and groundbreaking platforms.
• Required hands-on Java development background and continued technical proficiency sufficient to review code, evaluate solution designs, and challenge or validate engineering recommendations.
• Comfortable in being uncomfortable; programs move quickly, decisions change, plans adapt to change, uncertainty is all around. A successful candidate harnesses the chaos and thrives in this environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in Telecommunications, Media, or Cable is highly preferred
• Past success in generating new business with existing clients
• Good time management skills
• Experience in implementing and overseeing CRM or Order Management projects
