This role also involves keeping the store clean, recommending solutions to pet parents, and ensuring pet safety standards are upheld. Key Responsibilities Complete PetSmart's Splash training and safety certification program successfully. Provide an exceptional experience for pet parents in person, over the phone, and at the sales register. Greet pet parents, answer their inquiries, and assist with reservations. Manage check-in and check-out procedures effectively. Perform a full range of bathing and grooming services according to PetSmart's high standards. Share additional health and wellness recommendations tailored to pets' needs. Ensure a safe environment for all associates, pets, and pet owners. Act promptly when a sick or injured pet is identified, including transportation to a vet when necessary. Recommend and sell pet merchandise and services. Maintain cleanliness standards throughout the store. Offer support in various departments as required; other duties may be assigned. Engage in our culture of Belonging and Recognition. Follow all Company Policies and Procedures diligently. Qualifications Proficient in computer applications. Composed and able to react effectively under pressure. Flexible scheduling, with availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Essential Physical Demands and Work Environment Ability to stand, walk, climb, and handle pets, including lifting and moving weights of up to 50 pounds; occasionally more with assistance. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet environments, and pet hair is common. Moderate noise levels; occasional exposure to high noise levels. Frequent interaction with live animals.
