RHRP Optometry Technician

Overview Attention all Optometry Technicians. We provide dental exams and treatment to Military Service members. This position will primarily work weekends, with some occasional weekdays in California on an as-needed basis. We deliver health readiness services to meet medical and dental requirements to maintain a deployable military force for the following: USAR, ARNG, USNR, MARFORRES, USCGR, ANG, USAFR. This role will work directly with patients, operate optical machinery, and interface with patient care software. Responsibilities Helping the optometrist with procedures and patient care Taking patient histories and maintaining the patient records system Assisting patients to select a suitable frame for their glasses Demonstrating care and maintenance of lenses to patients Repairing minor issues with broken and damaged eyeglasses Keeping the office organized and presentable, and making the exam room ready Testing visual acuity, depth perception, pressure and pupil reflexes Qualifications 1+ years of experience as an optometric or ophthalmic technician Experience performing visual fields, OCTs, and Fundus Photography is required Experience with computers, including knowledge of and experience with word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs Must have own transportation for site traveling About the role and organization With over three decades of experience, we are a trusted industry leader.
