Make a difference in the lives of students by serving as a full-time, in-person Special Education Teacher in a school setting near Sandy, OR. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Experience working with Exceptional Learner Students (ELS) highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring
- Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to individual student needs
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering inclusivity and supporting diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Deliver differentiated instruction in a full-time, in-person classroom setting
- Assess and monitor student progress, adapting lessons as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and assistive technologies
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all district and state requirements
