Sam’s Club #6610, 3951 Grand Ave, Chino, CA 91710-5429 Position Summary As a Produce Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in produce and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the club meets member expectations. Responsibilities Be a Team Leader: supervise the produce and floral team, communicate department goals, execute company programs, and advocate for members, associates, and the company. Be an Expert: maintain deep knowledge of floor, backroom operations, product quality, inventory, sanitation, equipment, safety and compliance, manage seasonality, collaborate with associates, and provide training. Be a Techie: leverage digital tools for sales planning, improve the shopping experience, enable immediate business decisions with handheld technology, and encourage adoption of new tools. Be an Owner: drive business results, maintain operational excellence, ensure a neat, clean, safe work environment, meet staffing and audit standards, and uphold merchandise layout plans. Be a Talent Ambassador: teach and train the team, identify potential, develop skills, encourage career growth, source new talent internally and externally, and implement processes that meet business needs. Promote compliance: support company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity, use the Open Door Policy, and assist management in correcting issues. Lead and participate in team activities: share resources, determine customer needs, coordinate assignments, provide advice and feedback, and help others adapt to change. Minimum Qualifications At least 6 months experience working in a fresh‑production department or 6 months experience supervising a team. Must be 18 years of age or older. Successful completion of all required trainings and assessments within the prescribed time period. Preferred Qualifications Experience supervising a team. Food Handler Certification (Food Safety). Compensation The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 to $31.00 per hour. Additional compensation may be paid in premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
