Dietary AideAs a Dietary Aide, this role plays a meaningful part in the daily lives of residents by helping ensure they receive nutritious, appealing meals in a clean and welcoming environment.Working closely under the direction of the Dietary Manager, the Dietary Aide helps prepare and serve meals in accordance with state and federal guidelines, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and sanitation. From assisting with food preparation and tray service to maintaining a clean dining and kitchen environment, this role is essential to creating a positive dining experience that residents look forward to each day.ResponsibilitiesAssist with food prep and cooking following universal precautions and state/federal regulationsPreparing and serving beveragesSetting up and passing trays for meal serviceStocking snack cartBussing of tables and traysCleaning the kitchen work areaDishwashingFollow proper handwashing guidelinesAdditional special projects or tasks can be assigned by the Dietary Manager or the AdministratorQualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent preferredMust have or be able to obtain a Texas Food Handler CertificateWorking in a commercial kitchen experience is preferredAbility to lift heavy objects
