Customer Service Associate

Vaco has an opportunity for a Customer Service Representative. Part time schedule, Saturday and Sunday, 9am - 5pm. This position is contract and remote (must be East Coast time). Estimated length of contract could be 2 or 3 months up to 6 months long. We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to support a growing tourism and experiences organization. This is a remote, temporary opportunity created to provide dedicated phone support to customers with questions about upcoming reservations, experiences, schedules, policies, and general trip information. The ideal candidate has prior call center or high-volume customer service experience, communicates exceptionally well over the phone, and is comfortable navigating Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and other web-based systems while assisting customers. This position will initially support one primary location, with the potential to expand to additional locations as the customer service model develops. Key Responsibilities Answer inbound customer calls in a professional, friendly, and timely manner. Assist customers with questions regarding upcoming reservations and experiences. Provide accurate information regarding schedules, operating hours, arrival times, pricing, policies, locations, and available experiences. Respond to questions regarding weather-related changes or cancellations. Explain cancellation and reservation policies clearly and professionally. Utilize company-provided scripts, reference materials, and website information to accurately answer customer questions. Navigate Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and other web-based applications while assisting customers. Document customer calls, questions, and reasons for contact using a simple tracking process. Identify questions or issues that require escalation and route them to the appropriate team member. Potentially assist with booking, modifying, or canceling reservations after training on the company's reservation platform. Maintain a positive customer experience while handling multiple calls and varying customer needs. Communicate recurring customer questions or issues to management to help improve the overall customer experience. Qualifications Previous customer service experience required. Prior call center, reservations, hospitality, tourism, travel, scheduling, or high-volume phone experience strongly preferred. Excellent verbal communication and phone etiquette. Strong customer-service mindset with a friendly and professional demeanor. Comfortable working independently in a remote environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Teams and Outlook. Strong general computer skills and ability to quickly learn new technology. Ability to navigate multiple resources and systems while speaking with customers. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to communicate clearly and fluently in English. Reliable internet connection and ability to work Eastern Time hours. Schedule 1 Full-Time: Approximately Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM ET Compensation Anticipated pay range of approximately $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience and final client approval. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping customers, is comfortable spending the majority of the day on the phone, and is looking for a remote customer service opportunity with an immediate start. Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
