The NNP will provide specialized care for newborns with a wide spectrum of illnesses and prematurity, as well as healthy infants. The successful candidate will be part of a team that offers a high quality of care, support, and education to patients and their families. Details about the opportunity/NICU are listed below: Staffing Model/Schedule: Neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners share the work at each facility 12 or 24 hr. shifts for NNPs with flexible, self-scheduling Responsibilities include: Delivery attendance Day-to-day management of NICU and Newborn Nursery patients Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds to provide collaborative, team-based care of NICU patients including but not limited to ventilator management, nutrition management, lab review, and meeting with families High-frequency ventilation (HFOV and HFJV), inhaled nitric oxide, therapeutic hypothermia, pediatric surgery No cardiac surgery, except for PDAs; no ECMO Subspecialty support Qualifications: A Master\'s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice. A minimum years of experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or equivalent experience as a physician in a neonatal setting. Excellent clinical skills with the ability to make decisions in high-stress situations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
