Requirements

• Required certification: Cath Lab Tech
• 1+ years of experience
• Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year minimum required; first timers NOT accepted 2. Cases: Cardiac procedures (LHC, RHC, balloon pumps, temp pacer, perm pacer/defib, pericardial effusion, STEMI call) and IR procedures (venous access, drains placement, GI tube insertion, PE, DVTs, Tips, PV, Fistula work, UFEs, prostate embos, GI/Post Partum/other internal bleeds) 3. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, ARRT, RCIS (either RCIS or ARRT accepted) 4. License: Must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses obtainable once permanent license applications submitted 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: Cerner preferred; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10s; minimum 2 days call per week and every 3rd weekend 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO or less; anything more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Any PERM or PRN employee must be away 12 months before applying as traveler; consecutive contract policy requires designated breaks 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; locals accepted for Surgical Services, Allied positions, and IU Clinics at lower rate; not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, ER 11. Background: Policy noted prior to submission for approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: Required 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15.
