VP, Global Social Media (Americas)

For our client, we are seeking a VP, Global Social Media (Americas) to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space.
This role will lead social media strategy and execution across the Americas, with a strong focus on content, community, creator partnerships, and campaign performance. The ideal candidate will partner closely with marketing, product, analytics, and agency teams to drive full-funnel social programs that support product launches and brand growth. This is a highly visible leadership role that will shape regional investment decisions, operating boundaries, and crisis response while helping scale a social-first brand presence.
Location: Needham, MA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $285,000 – $345,000 annually
Responsibilities

Own the North America social content calendar and channel strategy across major platforms
Lead and develop a regional team for content, community, and channel management
Manage a multi-million dollar creator and influencer budget, including agency relationships
Partner with cross-functional teams to execute full-funnel social campaigns tied to product launches
Serve as regional lead for social signal workstreams
Manage crisis response and social listening in partnership with global analytics
Build and defend operating boundaries with adjacent functions
Report regional performance and investment recommendations to senior social leadership
Qualifications

10+ years in social media or digital marketing, with 4+ years in leadership roles
Agency-side experience required; large, social-first brand experience preferred
Deep experience in influencer and creator marketing with budget ownership
Proven success managing multi-million dollar creator budgets and agency partners
Experience scaling branded social content with measurable impact
Experience managing teams across the US and Canada
Strong cross-functional influence skills in matrixed organizations
Preferred background in CPG, DTC, or consumer electronics
