Physical Therapist AssistantOSF Rehabilitation at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Group is a hospital-based department that provides therapy services to inpatients and outpatients. This team consists of a fun and diverse group! We have therapists and assistants who specialize in a variety of areas including but not limited to: aquatic therapy, orthopedics, pediatrics, LSVT Big (Parkinson's disease) and other neurological diagnoses, vestibular problems, balance, and concussion management. Our occupational therapists enjoy seeing patients with orthopedic diagnosis from the shoulder to the hand, neurological diagnosis, lymphedema, pelvic floor dysfunction, and pediatric patients who may have sensory dysfunction, feeding and eating issues and developmental delay. In addition, OSF Healthcare qualifies for the Public Student Loan Forgiveness programPosition SummaryThe Physical Therapist Assistant, under the general supervision of a Physical Therapist, assists in administering the Physical Therapists' treatment plan. Administers and monitors patient's response to therapeutic exercises, transfer training, gait training, and other treatments in accordance with the physical therapists' treatment plan.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Education: Associate's degree in Physical TherapyLicensure/Certifications: State license as Physical Therapist AssistantOther Licenses/Certifications: CPR certification within 90 days of hireOther skills/knowledge: Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills to work well with others and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information Analytical ability to identify and report changes in patient's condition to a physical therapist Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate mannerPreferred Qualifications:Experience: Previous work experience as a Physical Therapist AssistantLicensure/ Certification: Valid driver's licenseOSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
