Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN)

• Assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements, and evaluates nursing care
• Educates patients and families in health promotion and disease management
• Administers medications safely according to policy
• Participates in productivity and effective resource utilization
• Engages in professional development and continuing nursing education
• Provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students
• May assume additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements of the Registered Nurse (RN)

• Current New York State Registered Nurse License
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications required
• 2+ years of Emergency Department experience required
