Mental Health Technicians and Behavioral Health Technicians

We're seeking dependable Mental Health Technicians and Behavioral Health Technicians to support behavioral health programs throughout Marin and Sonoma Counties. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to pick up extra shifts, earn supplemental income, and maintain Amergis scheduling flexibility.

This role helps cover last-minute call-offs, scheduled PTO, and staffing gaps across a variety of behavioral health settings.

Position Highlights

Location: Marin & Sonoma Counties Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient Behavioral Health / Psychiatric Programs Employment Type: Per Diem Pay: $25/hour

Scheduling:

• No weekly minimum commitment
• Pick up shifts that fit your availability
• Last-minute and scheduled coverage opportunities
• Weekend availability highly preferred
• Primary need is NOC (overnight) coverage

Role Focus

• Support patients in behavioral health and psychiatric treatment settings
• Conduct patient observations and safety monitoring
• Assist with activities of daily living and therapeutic programming
• Document observations and communicate changes to clinical staff
• Help maintain a safe, supportive, and structured environment

Requirements

• BLS Required
• Behavioral health, psychiatric, DSP, Mental Health Tech, or related experience preferred
• Strong communication and observation skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work at various locations

Additional Requirements

• Must meet all federal, state, and facility requirements
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
• Must be at least 18 years of age
