Forklift Operator

The Forklift Operator will be responsible for performing various duties in the warehouse in a fast-paced lean environment to include: receiving and put-away of all inbound receipts, shipping, and picking of products to support Plant operations. Maintain inventory accuracy. Monitor coolers/freezer temperatures. Responsible for keeping warehouse area organized. Must have stand-up forklift and RF scan gun experience. Available shifts 1st shift: Monday - Thursday 4am - 2:30pm. 2nd shift: Monday - Thursday 2:30pm - 12:30am Weekend shift: Friday - Sunday 4am - 5:30pm Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand as needed Must be able to operate stand up forklift Utilize mobile handheld devices for tracking shipments Safely climb in and out of trailers Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently) Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, rope) Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time on a loading dock that has potential to be below freezing and may become slippery Safely reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties Verify and complete required documentation and reports Adhere to company safety policies Frequent contact with co-workers and supervisors; fast-paced and deadline oriented Safely work in cold weather conditions Required Skills and Experience 2-4 years' prior forklift experience Stand up forklift experience Must be at least 18 years of age Must be able to speak/read/write in English fluently Good basic math skills Preferred Skills and Experience High School Diploma or GED Physical Requirements Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and arms Frequently required to stand, communicate, and listen Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Able to perform repetitive movements Able to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot) Company Overview Mom’s Meals is a home-delivered meal service providing fully prepared, refrigerated meal solutions direct to homes nationwide since 1999.
