X-ray/CT Radiology Technologist

Location: Altru Hospital | Devils Lake 1031 7th Street Northeast Devils Lake, ND 58301 Pay Range: $29.19 - $43.79 Summary The CT Technologist ensures that a written physician order is received prior to an exam, gathers pertinent information, reviews exams on PACS for quality, and completes required paperwork. The technologist demonstrates regard for patient safety and comfort. Essential Job Functions Provides the patient and family with appropriate education to optimize their understanding within scope of responsibility. Assures that a proper order is received prior to an exam, collects pertinent information, and assists the radiologist/physician with exams, notifying them of changes that may affect protocol. Reviews images for quality and completeness, verifying all images are on PACS with appropriate paperwork scanned and distributes the exam for interpretation to the appropriate radiologist upon completion. Demonstrates regard for patient safety and comfort during transportation, immobilization, and positioning. Prepares pharmaceutical vials for injection, calculates and measures dosage accurately, and administers orally or via IV the correct dosage while completing required records; maintains accurate records of all materials handled. Performs other duties as assigned to meet departmental/organizational needs. Certifications Radiographer – North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners – Prior to Start Date. Radiographer – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) – Within 6 Months of Start Date. Computed Tomography – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) – Within 24 Months of Start Date. Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association – Within 90 Days of Start Date. Notes Temporary ND license accepted prior to start. Language Requirements This position requires proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to ensure effective communication in the workplace and with patients, families, and team members.
