In this full-time role, you will provide a combination of telehealth and in-person counseling services to support individuals navigating trauma and mental health challenges. We are committed to fostering a positive work environment that prioritizes clinical excellence and client well-being, offering a salary range of USD 70,000 – 110,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Banyan Recovery, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate patients' trauma histories and inform effective treatment strategies.
  • \n
  • Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience building, and personal growth.
  • \n
  • Administering evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • \n
  • Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients in processing trauma and developing effective coping strategies.
  • \n
  • Collaborating with psychiatrists, fellow counselors, and other professionals to create an integrated care plan for each patient.
  • \n
  • Providing crisis intervention and support in trauma-related emergencies, fostering a safe therapeutic space for clients.
  • \n
  • Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, coping techniques, and available community resources.
  • \n
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation consistent with legal and ethical standards.
  • \n
  • Participating in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities centered around trauma-informed care.

  • Keeping abreast of current research and best practices relevant to trauma therapy to ensure your clinical practices reflect the latest advancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with adult clients who are facing various trauma-related challenges. Our patient population includes individuals who have experienced acute and chronic trauma, and you will be essential in guiding them through their healing journey. Your focus on creating a trusting relationship will facilitate open communication and encourage clients to engage actively in their recovery process.

Qualifications\n

Candidates applying for this position should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

  • A valid and current LPC licensure in the state of Texas.

  • A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed therapeutic approaches.

While not mandatory, the following preferred experiences will enhance your candidacy:

  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience.
