Health Services Advisor - Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview The Evergreen Center is a private non-profit organization that provides living and learning environments for children and adults diagnosed with developmental disabilities, including autism, physical disabilities, neurobehavioral disorders, and other special needs. Job Title: Health Services Advisor (RN) Responsibilities Conduct initial and ongoing trainings for staff in Health and Safety and Medication Administration. Assist the Director of Health Services with health care support in the Residential Treatment, Adult Supports, and Community Services Programs. Provide initial health and safety orientation for new staff. Provide annual health and safety CORE staff training and annual refresher training for health-related restraint guidelines. Collaborate in the development, implementation, and revision of staff training curricula related to medical, neurological, and other health-related subject matter. Provide ongoing in-service training for staff in health and safety, including health promotion, medical/neurological diagnoses, associated health conditions, and intervention strategies. Provide advisory support to the Director of Health Services in Residential and Adult Supports. Provide MAP training to staff members of the Adult Supports Division. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Nursing or a health-related field. Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license. Four to ten years of related experience and/or training working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Certification in Developmental Disabilities Nursing (CDDN) preferred. Additional Information Location: Milford, MA Hours: 38 hours per week; schedule is flexible.
