Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 12-Week Assignment | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided accurately and thoroughly.
• Assess patient and family learning needs; provide education and identify appropriate resources.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to effectively manage the clinical situation.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Telemetry, IMC, or MedSurg nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only.
• Experience caring for patients with mixed diagnoses and acuity levels, including respiratory conditions, sepsis, and multiple co-morbidities.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Telemetry or IMC setting.
