Job Description - Hospitalist - Days (47274) Job Description Hospitalist - Days ( 47274 ) - Erlanger Baroness Hospital Chattanooga, TN Hospitalist - Days Regular - Exempt - Full-time - Standard Hours 37.5 Job Summary Serves as an inpatient physician. Provides support to admitting physicians by acting as a clinical team member in delivery of care and services to patients. Provides medical care to unassigned patients. Ensures patient care meets or exceeds standards set forth by Erlanger Health System. Attends at least 75% of quarterly medical staff meetings; attends any meeting as directed by medical director or his/her designee. Education M.D. or D.O. degree. Licensure Licensed to practice in the State of Tennessee. Certification Board Certification required. Additional Responsibilities Represents Erlanger Health System as an employed Hospitalist and works to assure that the quality of care delivered is appropriate. Assist in the development of strategic plans for the growth of programs within Erlanger Health System. Participates in the chart review process for assigned areas. Perform such other duties as reasonably requested by Erlanger or otherwise necessary to properly assist in the operations of assigned areas. Assures compliance with all JCAHO/DNV and other applicable regulatory agency guidelines.
