Assistant Controller, Real Estate Funds & Corporate Finance

Our client is an investment manager specializing in real estate and venture capital investments. They seek an Assistant Controller, Real Estate Funds & Corporate Finance to join their White Plains, NY office. Responsibilities Direct the accounting and financial reporting activities for real estate funds, joint ventures, special purpose entities, and management company structures Evaluate financial statements, workpapers, valuations, lease accounting, waterfall calculations, carried interest allocations, and investor reporting packages for accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP Facilitate annual audits, capital calls, investor distributions, management fee allocations, and other fund administration activities Benchmark operating performance, property distributions, budgets, forecasts, and underwriting assumptions to support investment decision-making Integrate financial data into asset management, investor reporting, tax compliance, and strategic planning processes Navigate acquisition, disposition, refinancing, and recapitalization transactions, including settlement statement review and transaction support Oversee fund liquidity, cash forecasting, treasury operations, debt service obligations, lender reporting, and covenant compliance Administer management company accounting functions, executive reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and contractual allocation reviews Enhance accounting systems, internal controls, reporting infrastructure, and Yardi platform functionality to improve efficiency and data quality Requirements 4-7 years of real estate fund accounting experience Public or combo experience preferred Excellent leadership skills Experience with compliance, operations, software implementations, and efficiencies #J-18808-Ljbffr Abacus Group, LLC
