Job Description

• The Mechanical Engineer is a HAND'S ON position and will assist with Product Development team to implement conceptual designs using classical engineering hand calculations as well as CAD software for their glucose monitor medical devices.
• Thermal, stress, vibration and other mechanical engineering principals will be employed as appropriate.
• Participate in team discussions on product changes and ensuring the product specifications are followed in the manufacturing process. 

Qualifications

REQUIRE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
5+ years of experience HAND'S ON mechanical engineering for product development
Experience with machining (milling and lathe)
Experience with tooling fabrication process for optimal product design
Experience with fixture design & assembly testing
Experience with high volume part design & plastic injection molding
Experience with SolidWorks for part design, fixture design, and tooling
Experience with tolerance analysis, experiment and data analysis
Experience with creation and review of manufacturing documentation 
BS in Mechanical Engineering BSME

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Experience with medical, diabetes, or glucose device manufacturing
Experience with JMP statistical software
Knowledge of optical theory and application 
Fluent with Spanish
MS in Mechanical Engineering MSME
