Job Title Warehouse Operator, ERT‑RFRL Location Houston, 10650 Okanella Street, USA Position Summary The Warehouse Operator Associate is responsible for operating a forklift and other material handling equipment for the purpose of shipping, receiving, and picking. Activities include loading/unloading, scanning, moving, staging, replenishing, stacking, counting, and inspecting products, and reporting damages or discrepancies. The Associate is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and for complying with all corporate and site-specific safety, quality, and policy guidelines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Shipping Responsibilities: Operate gas or electric forklifts to load outbound shipments, move product, and stack materials. Load orders accurately according to doors and trailers in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. Receiving Responsibilities: Operate forklifts to unload inbound shipments, replenish, stack, and store products. Place items in appropriate storage areas while following Standard Operating Procedures. Picking Responsibilities: Use forklifts to accurately pick orders, stage products, and perform packaging tasks such as banding, shrink‑wrapping, and labeling as required. Quality Control Responsibilities: Verify received and shipped products meet quality standards, report damages or discrepancies, and apply proper packaging and labeling. Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance: Execute safety protocols, maintain cleanliness, and assist with warehouse security. Comply with Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site‑specific policies, OSHA, and MSDS standards. Equipment Operation: Operate a variety of equipment (sit‑down/stand‑up reach truck, sweeper scrubber, scissor lift, cherry picker, aisle master, pallet jack). Maintain equipment, perform daily inspections, conduct minor maintenance, and report issues. Maintain an active forklift certification. Maintenance: Assist with building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned. Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned; work overtime when required by business needs. Minimum Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. At least 6 months of experience in a logistics, distribution, or related environment. Ability to operate material handling equipment. Completion of a forklift training program. Capacity to work in warehouse temperature ranges that may range from mild to moderate. Preferred Qualifications 1–3 years of warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience. 1–3 years forklift experience. Current or prior material handling equipment certification. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Basic computer proficiency, including radio frequency scanners and warehouse management system functions. English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills. Basic to intermediate math skills for inventory verification and quantity checks. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to complete tasks on time. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to a fast‑paced environment. Physical Demands Occasionally: handling/fingering, sitting. Frequently: bending. Constantly: walking and standing. Lift/Carries: 21–50 pounds. Movement: reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel. Work Environment The job involves working in a warehouse setting with low to moderate noise. Exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, is rare. Compensation & Benefits Base hourly pay is approximately $21.00, subject to experience and location adjustments.
