A growing construction company in Kansas City is seeking to add a Project Manager to their staff. Great benefits!!

The Project Manager will be responsible for a variety of duties that include:

• Coordinate and manage projects from initial planning through completion, ensuring milestones, timelines, budgets, and client expectations are met.
• Communicate project milestones, schedules, status updates, and potential delays to internal teams and clients as appropriate.
• Collaborate with Sales and Operations Management to define project scope, deliverables, specifications, timelines, and overall expectations.
• Review project requirements and develop detailed plans to ensure resources, materials, labor, and timelines are aligned for successful execution.
• Prepare project estimates and assist with pricing, budgeting, and cost projections to support accurate project planning.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify potential risks, scheduling conflicts, scope changes, and other issues that could impact successful completion.
• Develop creative, client-focused, and cost-effective solutions to resolve project challenges and keep projects moving forward.
• Maintain thorough documentation of project requirements, changes, issues, decisions, and resolutions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track job costs and project expenses, monitor performance against budget, and identify potential cost overruns or variances.
• Coordinate with Operations and other internal departments to ensure projects remain on schedule and required resources are available when needed.
• Conduct regular project reviews and assess overall project performance, including timelines, costs, quality, and operational effectiveness.
• Lead project completion assessments with the Operations team and identify and implement necessary corrective actions or process improvements.
• Maintain accurate project records and ensure all required documentation is completed and up to date.
• Coordinate final project activities, resolve outstanding issues, and ensure all deliverables and client requirements have been satisfied.
• Manage project closeout activities, including final cost review, documentation, reconciliation, and transition of completed projects.
• Build strong working relationships with clients, Sales, Operations, vendors, and other stakeholders to promote effective communication and successful project outcomes.

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of project management experience
• Experience within the commercial construction industry is strongly preferred
• Degree in Construction Engineering or Construction Management preferred
• Strong communication and detail-oriented skills
• Strong MS Office and Excel experience
