Exciting Nursing Opportunity in a Dynamic Trauma Unit!

Job Description:


- Unit Overview:
- 24 spacious, private rooms with state-of-the-art monitoring capabilities.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3, with support from clinical associates.
- Focus on medical/surgical/trauma patients, including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and complex trauma cases.

- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional care to patients requiring advanced management, including:
- Respiratory support (Bipap management, blood gas interpretation, tracheostomies).
- Reconstructive plastic surgery with microvascular free flaps.
- Advanced diabetic management for both type 1 and type 2 patients.
- General surgical interventions and complex wound management.
- Conduct 24-hour hemodynamic monitoring for critically ill patients.

- Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong assessment skills adaptable to a fast-paced work environment.
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS.
- Experience with titrating drips is essential (e.g., Cardizem, Labetalol, Amiodarone).
- Basic EKG interpretation skills are necessary.

- Work Environment:
- Night shifts: 7p-7a, every other weekend, and holidays as scheduled.
- Teamwork is crucial, with charge nurses and house supervisors available 24/7.
