Windows Administrator

Job Description As a VMware/Windows Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our virtualization infrastructure and Windows-based systems. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our IT infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of VMware technologies, Windows operating systems, and a strong problem-solving ability. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain VMware virtualization environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual machines. Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Windows servers, ensuring security, stability, and performance. Monitor system performance and make proactive adjustments to ensure optimal resource utilization. Perform routine system updates, patches, and upgrades for both VMware and Windows environments. Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions for virtualized environments. Collaborate with the IT team to design and implement virtualization and Windows-related projects. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to VMware and Windows systems. Perform regular security audits and implement security best practices. Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures. Provide technical support and mentorship to junior team members. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience as a VMware Administrator and Windows Administrator. Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi. Proficiency in managing Windows Server operating systems (Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019). Familiarity with virtualization technologies like Hyper‑V is a plus. Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Acronis). Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, VBScript) for automation. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
