The Department of Nursing at Briar Cliff University seeks to fill a position as Director of the Radiologic Technology Program and Assistant or Associate Professor of Radiologic Technology. This position is to begin in Spring 2027 (preferred) or Summer 2027. This is a 12-month, tenure-eligible position focused on advancing knowledge through teaching, professional development, and service within the university community. 

The successful candidate will direct the University’s program in radiologic technology, including assisting with recruiting, identifying clinical sites, advising students, and providing strategic direction for the program. They will also teach courses in radiologic technology as appropriate to the candidate’s area of expertise. The program director should be very familiar with the requirements of JRCERT disciplinary accreditation, as they will lead the faculty in the maintenance of program accreditation. Additionally, faculty engage in scholarship and professional development, complete institutional and departmental service, participate in departmental and university assessment, and advise students in experiential learning opportunities in addition to their coursework, supporting students’ professional growth and contributing to the broader educational mission. 

The successful candidate should have a minimum of a Master of Education or Master of Science in radiologic science, health science education, or allied health leadership; a terminal degree is preferred. They should have current ARRT certification and registration and prior clinical experience. Candidates in the process of pursuing a terminal degree will be considered, and these ABD candidates must have their terminal degrees completed no later than the end of their second year in the position. 

The successful candidate should demonstrate excellence in teaching at the university level, a strong record of successfully advising and mentoring students, an interest in maintaining their own intellectual creativity, and an ability to contribute to curriculum development and academic service.
