Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Salary: $135,000 - 185,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a B.S. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or an equivalent level of relevant work experience.
• We require at least 5 years of experience in cloud security, especially protecting cloud infrastructure used for data processing and storage.
• We value a strong command of cloud security, identity and access management, secure communication protocols such as TLS, and data encryption.
• We prefer hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud to secure cloud environments and services.
• We look for experience with SAST/DAST tools, container security, and vulnerability management.
• We prefer familiarity with ISO 27001 compliance requirements for cloud environments.
• We value experience with infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GCSA, or other cloud security or automation credentials are highly desirable.

• We lead security at the intersection of development, operations, and security for our cloud team supporting IoT data transmission, processing, and storage.
• We design and implement secure-by-default cloud architecture for data moving from IoT devices and between cloud services.
• We build secure storage and processing controls, including encryption and authentication frameworks that protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
• We create infrastructure-as-code modules to provision cloud environments in line with security best practices and regulatory expectations.
• We ensure data sent from IoT devices to our industrial cloud is encrypted and securely handled.
• We apply network security controls to defend our cloud environment against threats such as man-in-the-middle attacks, DDoS, and unauthorized access.
• We establish security protocols for data at rest and in transit across cloud services to maintain compliance with industry standards.
• We oversee secure cloud service integration for data ingestion, storage, and processing.
• We maintain access control mechanisms so only authorized systems and personnel can interact with cloud-hosted data.
• We manage secure API connections and authentication methods across cloud and enterprise systems.
• We ensure our industrial cloud infrastructure remains compliant with standards such as ISO 27001 through audits and assessments.
• We conduct vulnerability assessments and security reviews to identify and reduce risk in the cloud environment.
• We perform threat modeling and vulnerability analysis to uncover potential attack paths.
• We implement monitoring and alerting to detect and respond to threats or unauthorized activity in real time.
• We collaborate with cloud engineers, network security teams, DevOps, and other DevSecOps engineers to embed security across the infrastructure and SDLC.
• We mentor teams on secure cloud design, development, and maintenance aligned with best practices and regulations.
• We lead security awareness and training initiatives for teams supporting our industrial cloud infrastructure.
