Work Environment\nThis full-time position is structured as a remote role, allowing you to provide therapy services from the comfort of your home while maintaining flexibility to meet client needs. Our operational hours for therapy sessions are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 6 PM, with some scheduling flexibility required based on patient availability. This position ensures that you can balance personal commitments while delivering essential mental health services to those who need them most.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to accurately understand patients' experiences, challenges, and goals, which will inform individualized treatment planning. \n
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient's unique cultural and personal backgrounds, enhancing their engagement and treatment efficacy. \n
- Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing various mental health concerns, with a focus on promoting resilience and recovery. \n
- Maintain collaborative relationships with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care. \n
- Provide crisis intervention and support during times of mental health emergencies, following established protocols to ensure safety and effective resolution. \n
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and applicable community resources to empower informed decision-making. \n
- Document client interactions and treatment plans accurately and confidentially, adhering to legal and ethical standards within electronic health record (EHR) systems. \n
- Participate in regular case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing cultural competency training to continuously enhance professional skills and service delivery. \n
- Stay current on mental health research, best practices, and cultural considerations that impact patient care in therapy. \n
The client population served by Gentle Motion Psychotherapy Services is diverse and multifaceted, including ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants facing various socio-economic, cultural, and emotional challenges. Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. \n
- Possession of a current and valid licensure as LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Washington. \n
- Thorough understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches with a strong emphasis on cultural competence in therapy. \n
- Demonstrated experience in providing both individual and group therapy with a focus on inclusivity and culturally responsive practices. \n
- Proficiency in crisis intervention methods and the ability to maintain composure during crisis situations. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to effectively build rapport with a diverse clientele. \n
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and related computer applications essential for documentation and patient management. \n
- Commitment to ethical guidelines and maintaining professional boundaries throughout therapeutic relationships. \n
- A proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment to enhance patient outcomes. \n

- Experience working within a community health clinic or similar mental health setting is preferred. \n
- Previous training or certifications in culturally responsive therapy techniques. \n
We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 per year, reflecting the professional's experience and qualifications.
