Requisition ID: 19979 Remote Work Available: No Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician- Cultivation Reports to: Quality Assurance Supervisor Department: Quality Assurance FLSA Status: Regular Non-Exempt Location: McKeesport, PA POSITION SUMMARY The Quality Assurance Technician – Cultivation is responsible for ensuring the quality of Trulieve’s flower products and assisting in the maintenance and continuous improvement of Trulieve’s internal Quality System. This individual will serve as a primary Quality Assurance resource for department supervisors for problem identification, and resolution. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES This position will perform a variety of duties including ensuring that the quality Trulieve flower products is of the highest standard and meets and/or exceeds all specifications for our customers. Inspects and tests flower products for quality defects in the manufacturing process and reports issues and concerns to various departments. Ensures all equipment, guards, and safety devices are always in place, and follows safe work procedures and safety rules. Performs continual quality control checks to ensure product is produced within specifications. Audits various applications of flower product to ensure SOP specifications are met. Analyze spoilage, record causes, and take corrective actions where applicable. Monitors processes and reports all problems to supervision through interaction and required paperwork. Advise management and coach fellow co-workers on matters regarding quality issues. Follows all SOP requirements and intercedes or challenges proper personnel when defects are present in cultivation. Notify supervisor of any incidences of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken and of any poor-quality material or supplies noted. Interacts and reports to/with the Quality Manager/Supervisor in creation and revisions of SOP's (standard operating procedures) as changes and additions require. Keeps the area safe, clean, and organized. Performing other duties as requested QUALIFICATIONS Must be able to pass a comprehensive background screening. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV). High school diploma or equivalent. An Associate's Degree or equivalent is a benefit as well as any quality related training or certification. Experience with maintaining accurate records as well as experience with accurate measurement capability. Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access) and be able to handle working with multiple programs. Knowledge and work history of focusing on quality and safety in every aspect of the job. Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time. Effective and proven communication skills (both written and verbal) working in a team environment. Working experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment is preferred. Ability to work with little to no supervision w/ strong attention to detail. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and or carry such weight a minimum of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance. Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch, frequently/constantly to complete tasks. Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater). Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions. Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise).
