Water EPC Project Manager — Lead & Grow in Phoenix

Location Phoenix, AZ, US; Tucson, AZ, US Job Summary As a Project Manager, you will manage small Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC)/Service projects, overseeing risk, cost, schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and safety. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day execution, staffing, leading teams, and coordinating engineering, procurement, construction, and startup elements. Key Responsibilities Business Development Lead team efforts for marketing Develop strategy Identify prospects, develop proposals, prepare client presentations, budget, and contract arrangements for successful opportunities Accountable for new business objectives and overall project performance Project Management Interact with assigned clients, promote Black & Veatch through client and community activities Support the development of market business plans, strategies, and client engagement efforts Project Execution Oversee engineering manager(s) Develop project performance goals Ensure implementation and accountability Engage internal project teams and owner representatives on activities Execute or assist performance and commercial management, budgeting, invoicing, payments, and project performance reviews Staff Management Develop, mentor, and coach team members Recommend training, promotion, and identify new candidates for team expansion Preferred Qualifications 15+ years of water/wastewater experience with leadership in the Phoenix market Professional Engineering License and Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline Understanding of budgets and financial metrics Contract negotiation skills, including knowledge of terms, risks, pricing, and payment terms Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
