Assembly Technician

Position Details Location: Dublin, CA Schedule: Part-time (Monday–Friday) with opportunity to move to full-time Summary This is a precision manufacturing role requiring experience in optical polishing, lapping, grinding, or precision machining (or similar high-tolerance manufacturing). Candidates must be comfortable working to tight tolerances and handling delicate, high-value components. This is not a general assembly position. Candidates should have experience working with precision components and tight tolerances. Key Responsibilities Grinding and polishing of precision optical components Cleaning and visual inspection (microscope use preferred) Operation of production equipment (surface grinders, polishers, milling machines, etc.) Handling and processing of fragile optical components Following detailed work instructions in an ISO 9001 environment Maintaining equipment, workspace, and production supplies Relevant Experience Optical polishing, lapping, or grinding Precision machining (tight tolerances) Experience with inspection tools (microscopes, comparators, optical inspection) Core Skills Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination High attention to detail Ability to follow detailed technical instructions independently Critical thinking and problem-solving ability Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in precision optics manufacturing Familiarity with interferometry, metrology, or optical test methods Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment 2-4 years experience in precision manufacturing or optics Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25 lbs Additional Requirements Must be a “US Person” as defined by ITAR regulations References required #J-18808-Ljbffr
