Manages budgets and resources, maintains appropriate staffing and understands healthcare finance. Leads and supports performance and quality improvement initiatives, implements evidence‑based practice changes, and ensures compliance with professional standards and hospital policies. Utilizes critical thinking and technology in decision‑making, problem‑solving, and integrating new systems to enhance patient care and outcomes. Provides strong leadership and mentorship, ensures high‑quality clinical care, supports staff development, and maintains clear communication and planning for patient care delivery. Encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and maintains positive relationships with patients, staff, vendors, and other departments to ensure patient‑centered care. Demonstrates professionalism, supports ongoing education and development, maintains confidentiality, and upholds ethical standards and organizational policies. Communicates effectively with patients, families, staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient focused care. Educates and mentors staff, ensuring adherence to clinical practice models and evidence‑based practices. Develops and implements policies, procedures, and process improvement initiatives in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Fosters patient, family, staff, and physician satisfaction, understanding its impact on business goals. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Incumbents must possess these knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and to demonstrate that she/he can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. [Required] Must have working knowledge of budgets and healthcare finance and leadership capabilities. [Required] Has ability to work a varied schedule, to include night and weekend hours, with visibility to all shifts. [Required] Competent in giving sedation and other medications as needed. [Required] Able to monitor sedated patients. [Required] Possesses critical care skills. [Required] Proficient in charting and recording.
