Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg / Telemetry / Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Deliver direct patient care in a Med Surg, Telemetry, and/or Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Step-Down) setting.
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical records system to document and manage patient information accurately.
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed.
• May be required to float to the Emergency Department as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa (or compact eligibility).
• Minimum of 2 years of Step-Down or Progressive Care Unit experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – American Heart Association required.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC EMR system.
• First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.
• Comfort and flexibility with floating to the Emergency Department.
