Executive Director, Product Design - Discovery & Browse

For our client, we are seeking an Executive Director Product Design - Discovery & Browse to join the team of a leader in the Media space. This role will drive search and content-led growth initiatives that improve visibility, acquisition, and measurable demand. You will collaborate with analytics, product, creative, and commercial teams to turn market insights into scalable campaigns, testing strategies, and performance improvements. The position offers the opportunity to directly influence customer engagement, conversion performance, and revenue growth within a Media environment. Location: Santa Monica, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $227,200 – $304,700 annually Responsibilities Define and champion the design vision for Discovery across Disney+ and Hulu Lead design of search, browse, and navigation systems at scale Drive design strategy for AI-powered discovery and interfaces Translate algorithmic recommendations into intuitive design experiences Set standards for simplicity and clarity in user experience Oversee design consistency and quality across multiple platforms Recruit and build a specialized Product Design team Act as design partner for cross-functional teams in strategy development Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience 12+ years in product design or related fields Experience with Discovery and Browse design for streaming services Expertise in large-scale content discovery systems design Direct experience with AI-powered design features Proficiency in multi-brand or multi-audience design systems Proven executive design leadership in cross-functional environments Exceptional design portfolio demonstrating clarity and elegance Benefits Comprehensive medical package Retirement and financial benefits Opportunities for bonuses and long-term incentives Professional development support Generous paid time off Flexible work arrangements available Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
