The Nurturing Mental Health Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. Work Environment\nThis position allows flexibility as it is primarily remote; however, you will also be required to work in our outpatient office located in Mount Vernon, Washington, as needed. Our office offers a serene and supportive space designed specifically for therapy sessions and therapeutic activities. Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct initial assessments and in-depth interviews to understand the clients’ backgrounds, mental health concerns, and recovery goals. \n
- Provide ongoing evaluations by synthesizing biopsychosocial information gathered from clients, families, and other relevant sources, enabling tailored treatment plans. \n
- Demonstrate advanced competencies in chemical dependency treatment, using evidence-based practices and the latest methodologies to guide your clinical decisions. \n
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans, utilizing therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing. \n
- Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with state regulations and professional standards, while respecting client confidentiality for all communications. \n
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care, actively participating in team meetings and case management discussions. \n
You will work with a diverse population, including adults and adolescents dealing with mental health challenges, chemical dependencies, and co-occurring disorders. Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required. \n
- Valid Washington State licensure (LMHC, LICSW, or LMFT) to practice as a mental health counselor is essential. \n
- A minimum of two years of documented experience in therapeutic settings, demonstrating a solid foundation in counseling techniques and treatment planning. \n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate observations and treatment strategies clearly. \n
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality, adhering strictly to ethical guidelines, and fostering a drug-free work environment. \n

- Experience in outpatient settings focusing on chemical dependency, trauma-informed care, or integrated behavioral health services is a plus. \n
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document services and communicate with team members. \n
- Knowledge of community resources available for clients needing additional support. \n
The Nurturing Mental Health Center offers an annual salary range of USD 100,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we provide a robust benefits package which includes:
