Home Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Cooperstown, Oneonta, and Little Falls, NY

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Job Description: The Home Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for managing outpatient home dialysis clinics, conducting patient assessments, and providing ongoing clinical management. You will play a crucial role in educating and training new home dialysis patients while troubleshooting and triaging patient concerns and treatment-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage outpatient home dialysis clinics.
• Conduct patient assessments and ongoing clinical management.
• Provide modality education and training for new home dialysis patients.
• Troubleshoot and triage patient concerns and treatment-related issues.
• Coordinate care and support patient independence in the home setting.
• Occasionally assist inpatient nursing units with CAPD exchanges.
• Complete initial home visits for new patients as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license required.
• Previous Home Dialysis experience is strongly preferred.
• Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) experience is highly desirable.
• Experience educating and training dialysis patients is preferred.
• Strong assessment, triage, and patient education skills are essential.
