Job Title: Controls Engineer

Location: Columbus, GA Onsite

Job Summary:

The Controls Engineer will design, develop, troubleshoot, and support industrial control systems in a manufacturing environment, with strong expertise in Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Kepware, and HMI/SCADA systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, program, troubleshoot, and support Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLC-based control systems.
• Configure and maintain Kepware/KEPServerEX for industrial data integration.
• Develop and troubleshoot HMI/SCADA systems using WinCC, FactoryTalk View, or Ignition.
• Integrate CNCs, CMMs, test rigs, and production equipment with IT/OT systems.
• Troubleshoot controls issues and improve equipment reliability and production uptime.
• Support industrial communication protocols including OPC UA/DA, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and MQTT.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and IT teams on controls and connectivity projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, Automation, or related Engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on Controls/Automation Engineering experience.
• Strong Siemens S7-1200/1500 and TIA Portal experience.
• Strong Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix and Studio 5000 experience.
• Hands-on experience with Kepware/KEPServerEX and OPC communications.
• Experience with PLC programming, HMI/SCADA, and industrial networking.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
