Schedule / Shift

Night shift from 19:00 to 07:00, with a requirement to work every other weekend. Block scheduling can be accommodated for those willing to work all weekends. Floating to other units, including CICU, may be required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICU) and exposure to Cardiac Intensive Care Units (CICU). The ideal candidate will be adept at handling a high patient census and floating to other units as necessary. The nurse will need to provide excellent patient care and be prepared to assist in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in PICU, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Effectively manage patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2.
• Float to CICU as needed based on patient census and staffing requirements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Required Experience

• 2 years of experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICU).
• Exposure to Cardiac Intensive Care Units (CICU).

Certifications / Licensure

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
• Valid nursing license required (single state OH or multi-state compact license accepted).
