Staff Accountant

This position supports the preparation of financial statements and general ledger activity for individual entities within a multi-entity regional company, and assists with reconciliations, month-end close, and financial analysis.Essential Functions:Assist with the preparation of financial statements for individual entities, including balance sheets and profit and loss statementsPrepare journal entries and supporting schedules as part of month-end closePerform account reconciliations, including bank and general ledger accountsAssist with daily bank and revenue reconciliationsSupport analysis of financial data, trends, and actual results versus budgetDevelop a working understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll and benefit reconciliation processesHelp maintain accurate and organized supporting documentation for audits and internal reviewSupport special projects and analysis as requested by accounting leadershipKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:To perform this job successfully, this individual must possess:Strong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsA positive, outgoing personalityHigh ethical standardsThe ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlinesSolid analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is a plusWillingness to learn multi-entity accounting practicesEducation and/or Experience:This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration. 1-3 years of accounting experience is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr Title-Midwest,-Inc
