Forklift OperatorThe Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely transporting large debris, including empty pallets, trash, cardboard, and wood panels, from inside the facilities to the designated exterior disposal areas. When large debris loads are not scheduled, the operator will also be responsible for maintaining the surrounding areas by sweeping, organizing, and ensuring the work areas remain clean and free of debris.Duration: 6 weeksSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PMPay: $21The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a forklift/PIT to transport large debris.Move empty pallets, trash, cardboard, wood panels, and other materials to designated exterior areas.Maintain clean and organized work areas.Sweep and remove debris from surrounding areas during downtime.Follow all site safety procedures and PPE requirements.Communicate with supervisors regarding upcoming large debris requests and scheduled loads.Maintain a safe and efficient work environment at all times.QualificationsCurrent forklift certification required (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, or other applicable equipment).Minimum of 1 year of forklift operating experience in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment.Demonstrated ability to safely load, unload, move, and stage materials while following company safety procedures.Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.Experience handling large, heavy, or oversized materials preferred.Ability to perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.Strong understanding of workplace safety practices, OSHA guidelines, and safe forklift operation.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and climbing throughout the shift.Reliable attendance and punctuality with the flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or varying shifts as needed.Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.ABM (NYSE: ABM) is one of the world's largest providers of integrated facility, engineering, and infrastructure solutions.
