Environmental Services Supervisor

Responsibilities Ensure Environmental Services operations remain fully compliant with Joint Commission Environment of Care (EC), Infection Prevention (IC), and Life Safety (LS) standards. Provide direction in the application of Environmental and Infection Control standards and organizational goals. Collaborate with the Director to manage department operations through planning, direction, and problem solving, as reflected in service performance indicators such as NRC Patient Scores. Work daily with Nurse Managers and ancillary supervisors to ensure cleanliness standards and quality of EVS services. Assist leadership in explaining operational decisions to staff, medical staff, administration, and patients. Conduct routine rounding to verify cleanliness, sanitation, and infection prevention practices across all assigned areas. Remain available 24 hours for emergency situations. Demonstrate the ability to prioritize issues and resolve operational problems quickly. Follow up on unresolved issues from coordinators during off shifts or weekends. Maintain overtime levels within approved limits. Monitor and operate the Bed Tracking System effectively. Qualifications License/Registration/Certification: Not applicable Education: High School Diploma Experience: Five years' experience as an environmental service coordinator, team leader, or lead person in an industrial, hotel, or health care facility.
