Pharmacy Technician

About the Role

Accurately fill prescription orders under the supervision of a pharmacist. Pick, label, scan, and prepare medications for pharmacist verification. Assist with medication returns, recycling, and disposal following established procedures. Pre-package frequently ordered medications and maintain organized inventory. Pull medications from shelves and storage areas according to prescription requirements. Identify and report any medication discrepancies to the pharmacist immediately. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation. Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and all pharmacy regulations. Support pharmacy operations through additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License in good standing.
• Basic pharmacy knowledge and understanding of prescription workflows.
• Strong data entry and computer skills.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
• Experience with prior authorizations (PA).
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills.

This is a Contract position based out of Katy, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
