Our Decorators create not only cakes, but many sweet treats according to company guidelines and items customized for the needs of our many customers. Attention to detail is very important for our Cake Decorators because Edwards Food Giant has high standards for product safety, food safety, and employee safety. We are devoted to providing the best customer service and an exceptional product to our customers. Thanks to the artistry and dedication of our Cake Decorators, many of our Edwards Food Giant Bakeries are award winning. We are looking for talented Cake Artists to join our team.

Contributions

• Provides premier customer service, including greeting customers and answering their questions.
• Ices, decorates, trays, and maintains product in freezer and refrigerated showcases.
• Fills customer special orders, including wedding cakes
• Ices, decorates, packages, labels, and prices products for production and fulfillment of backstock.
• Sells products by providing customers with information needed to make product-related decisions.
• Operates the Bakery equipment including ovens, sinks, mixer, etc. as needed.
• Follows Edwards Food Giant's guidelines for cake decorators and maintain

Edwards Food Giant's high standards for product freshness and sanitation.

• Follows Federal Regulations for proper Food Safety and Sanitation.
• Organizes and rotates stock in the Decorator's freezer.
• Trains other associates as needed.
• Assists in other duties in the Bakery as assigned including stocking and rotating thaw and sell product.
• Assists in the Deli as needed.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Experience as Decorator or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of decorating.
• Ability to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service.
• Ability to read, write, and perform simple math problems.
• Ability to interpret and follow instructions and solve problems.
• Knowledge of Federal Food Safety and Sanitation Regulations.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Ability to work well with others as a team member.
• Ability to create fresh designs for our customers.
• A passion for serving people.

Work Conditions

Cake Decorators perform their duties primarily in the Bakery but will at times need to assist in the Deli. They may be exposed to various temperature changes and work environments. Work involves walking, standing, bending, and lifting and carrying products weighing up to 60 pounds. Duties also include repetitive arm and hand movements and hand-squeezing for at least 85% of the workday.
